Councillor's Note:

1. The letter dogmatically insists that there will be no dredging of the River Derwent - therefore there will be nothing to stop it rising above the flood defences;

2.The EA is not prepared to publish its 300 page detailed document - not before it is finalised - ie. too late to change!

3. Note the pre-penultimate para: "Flood riskexpenditure will never meet the need of reducing flood risk everywhere by building  OR MAINTAINING man made raised defences"
